The mission of the International Academy of Catholic Leaders is to train leaders from a Catholic perspective, rooted in the faith of the Church, to transform the social, political, and economic world in the light of the Church’s Social Doctrine.
To form a new generation of Latin American Catholics with political and social responsibilities to transform the face of the continent in service to its people, in the light of the Magisterium of the Church and in view of the Jubilees of the Fifth Centenary of Guadalupe and the two thousand years of redemption.
The International Board of Directors is the main governing body of the Academy, responsible for its direction, administration, and representation. Its function is to establish the guidelines and ensure the global mission of the Academy in the different countries where it is present. It is composed of cardinals and lay people, who have the responsibility of accompanying, guiding, and monitoring the actions of the Academy. Currently, the Council is chaired by Mario J. Paredes.
The International Academic Council is an advisory and academic guidance body that is part of the institutional structure of the International Academy of Catholic Leaders (AILC). This council meets monthly and is composed of prominent academics of recognized international prestige. From various scientific disciplines, its members permanently evaluate and refine the training itinerary, as well as the contents, modalities, and levels of training offered by the Academy.
