The work of the International Academy of Catholic Leaders is reflected in more than 40,000 graduates who have participated in our training experiences, both in-person and virtual.
Knowing the experience of our alumni allows us to bear witness to the fruit of this mission and the commitment that each one assumes in the service of the Church and society.
“I am pleased to know that the Academy, which I have had the pleasure of knowing for some years, continues to promote the Social Doctrine of the Church missionarily in full communion and living its legitimate autonomy as a lay initiative. Currently extended in eleven countries of Latin America, I have been informed that it is also making its first forays into Europe and the United States. Congratulations on all this dynamism! May God bless the thousands of students and friends of the Academy!”
I ask God to bless […] this project, which was born in the heart of God, our Academy of Catholic Leaders. Every day it fills me with hope, with the certainty that it becomes an oasis in the middle of the desert to guide so many towards the construction of the common good, to satisfy the poorest.
“The opening of the Academy of Catholic Leaders in Montevideo in 2018 has been a joy for the Church in Uruguay. A consistent number of young people enrolled and have participated with much fruit. The Academy responds to a need of our plural and democratic society: that there be a qualified Catholic presence in the public sphere that, together with other expressions of thought and action, is capable of building a more just and free society.”
“The Academy of Catholic Leaders is a wonderful experience of fraternal friendship at the service of the Church and the poor.”
“The Academy of Catholic Leaders aims to help create a new generation of leaders, rooted in a concrete experience of Faith, lived and shared in a Christian community. The Academy wants to support the emergence of a leadership class animated by love for their country and with a Latin American dimension, up to the challenges of the 21st century, in this changing of times, which the Magisterium of Pope Francis directs us to.”
May the Lord abundantly bless this initiative, called to be fruitful so that the divine life of the son of God reaches the hearts of men and women called to be leaders in the help of Mary.
“The Academy of Catholic Leaders is a pioneering, innovative and convening initiative that has had a great impact on the formation of thousands of young people, making known the Faith, responsibility, leadership and sense of mission to which Pope Francis calls us all, and especially young people. This initiative gives life to the youth of our Dioceses.”
“The Academy of Catholic Leaders is an original experience in Latin America, which seeks to take very seriously the disturbing question that Benedict XVI and the Latin American episcopate asked in the conclusions of Aparecida: «How can it be that in a continent of Catholic cultural substrate and a large number of baptized, the presence of Catholics in public life is not, in general, very coherent and relevant?». The graduates of the Academy have to be like an «advance» of a new generation of Catholic Leaders who convert their experience of Faith into intelligence and transforming power of all realities and forms open to the Gospel, whether in political, economic, social and/or cultural development for the benefit of the peoples of Latin America.”
Persistent work is the mobilizing force of Change. […] thanks to the academy for building community, networks and a sense of urgency in the testimony of Catholics in Chile today.
